Vision, Mission & Aims
Vision
Our vision is to enable people to live into a healthy old age. This means effective prevention and optimal management of chronic health conditions and maximising well being and quality of life at all stages of life.
Mission
Our mission is to conduct innovative population and clinical research studies and produce the evidence for initiatives that promote prevention, lead to early detection and better management of disease, and improve quality of life, well-being and mental health. Observatory research also investigates the interaction of health services with patients to identify opportunities that lead to more effective health care and management and that will maximise health outcomes.
Observatory research also addresses health inequalities and applies research findings in evidence based policies. Our research program is also informed by community representation on our Advisory Committee.
